Search for Flight Deals using Travelocity
Use the power of Travelocity’s flight search engine which tracks thousands of flights that you can view and select using the following options:
Search Flights
Round trip, one way or multi-destination
The Round Trip option includes the Surrounding Airports search feature – you can now select more than one airport in an area to compare for the lowest prices
Round Trip and One-Way give you the option of choosing exact dates or flexible dates – you can also get great deals on on 1-way flights
If you choose Multi-Destination, you can enter the details of various stops you want to make
Travelocity’s Flexible Date Search
The Flexible Dates Search will show you the days to get the best fares:
Enter your departure and arrival cities but don’t use airport codes or names. This will enable a search engine of nearby airports
Check the Flexible dates button – the search engine will find the lowest price fares. If your travel dates are restricted, use the +/- 1 to 3 days button instead
Select the flight and airline that you prefer – a Flexible dates calendar will appear, showing you when to fly. Select your dates and purchase a ticket
Reservations can be made up to 330 days in advance – a unique feature to Travelocity
Advanced Search Options
Airline Preference
Use this if you want to fly on a specific airline. However, you may be more restricted in your search date availability – in this case, widen your search by choosing “Search all airlines”
First/Business Class and Refundable Fare Options
Very often, the lowest-priced fares have many restrictions such as penalties for refunds and changes. Most are non-refundable and do not allow changes after the ticket is purchased
If you select the “refundable/changeable only†option, the search results will only show fares with no penalties. You will probably pay a higher prices for these flights
Flights Deals
Travelocity has Featured Package Deals and also flight deals you can select from airlines such as Air Jamaica, Alitalia, American Airlines, British Airways, China Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Qantas, South African Airways, and Virgin America amongst others
Web Fares
Travelocity Web Fares lets you search for a specific airline, or do a simple search for any flight on Travelocity. Whenever a Web Fare matches your search, it will be marked as a “Web Fare” next to the price. These are updated frequently, so you should check them often. You may find a lower fare by including a Saturday-night stay and purchasing your ticket at least seven days in advance
Low Fare Alert
Travelocity’s Low Fare Alert searches thousands of flights to top destinations for flight deals that can save you more on your trip
